Over the last week I have done many Striped Bass trips and even got offshore for a couple of bottom fishing trips for Cod...This Morning I had Pat Dinolfo & his Father-in-law Rob aboard for a morning Striped Bass Charter...we left the dock in Bath bright & early and quickly made our way down the Kennebec river into the atlantic ocean...Our first stop did not produce but after a brief livebait run out to a nearby ledge to secure enough live mackerel for a small army of fishermen... we cruised back into some fishy habitat that has been holding a good amount of sandeels...and STRIPERS!!! It didnt take long to get our first explosive strike and over the course of the tide we boated some nice stripers and broke a few behemoths off after some truly violent strikes...overall a very fun morning with some very good anglers!!!
A few days ago I did a groundfish trip with a crew from Tennessee fishing out of Port Clyde...We boated numerous cod including severel nice Keeper fish

Nice bass and cod Captain! Super Fly just keeps boating and boating and boating, day after day. You're right about the sandeels, they're in those "usual" spots thick and heavy. Can't wait to get out there again, very soon.
ReplyDeleteI've said it before & I'll say it again...It becomes much easier to consistently catch trophy stripers once you put the three basic elements of Striper fishing together...tide, water temps and bait...take one or more legs of this tripod away and you fall on your face!!
