Maine Striper Fishing Reports Hotline 207-691-0745 A cold front moving through left the fishing predictably slower today but we still managed to find the fish!!!...Shawn Moore from Maryland met me at the dock at 4:30 this morning...bait was showing everywhere but the fish were lockjawed for most of the morning...near the bottom of the tide I switched gears from working the edges of the flats to working a deep rip...the adjustment paid off and Shawn was a happy camper as he boated his first Maine Striper. I won't say it was easy fishing today but we got it done!!!
My calendar is filling up quickly...so if you are looking to do some fishing with me this season...stop hitting the snooze button and pick up the phone!!! I have tomorrow morning open but the rest of the week is looking to be busy...some good evening tides are available and the sundown fishing this week should be very productive.

Nice job saving the outing with major hits at the 11th hour. Sniff-A-Rino Harris!
Tell me about it bro...the damn skunks were charging us from all directions...should have went staight to plan B instead of wasting time on the flats...i was very happy for my angler that we were able to turn the trip from around in the bottom of the 9th inning with 2 outs...we won the game with a grand slam...looking forward to stepping up to the meat table july 1st
I'm right there with you on that Independence Day thing. Anne jigged up a bag full of brown and blue backs yesterday as we putted around DP and the Grassy Knoll. You'll probably see me doing the same thing Thursday AM, with a handful of freezer bags!
It was a slow day fishing and I thank Capt. George for his tenacity in continuing to look for fish. What a great way to spend a Saturday morning - on the Kennebec fishing away from everyone. I'm definately coming out in August with my Dad and kids. -- Shawn Moore
Thanks for the comment Shawn...was awesome spending the morning with you...looking forward to doing it again in August...with a baitwell full of livies...the results will be a bit different!!!
