Maine Fishing Report: Kennebec River August 9th, 2009 "HOOK EM"

Harrison Jones from College Station, Texas wearing his Texas Longhorns "HOOK EM" hat...and thats exactly what he ended up doing...I had another long day on the Kennebec river today 08/09/09 with a family from Texas...Walter & Jodi Jones and their children Harrison & Mackenzie fished with me...and boy were they treated to a day they will not soon forget!!! It was just silly out there today...After leaving the ramp in Bath...we headed to a spot that usually produces good numbers of nice fish...Harrison quickly banished the Skunk from the boat...the tide was slack so we scooted out of there to go find some moving water...it didn't take long...At the next stop we really hit the mother load....drift after drift...fish after fish...double hook ups and single hook ups...for the next several hours we slammed the stripers...everyone caught lots of fish and we finished up with the fish still biting. I knew we were going to have a great trip and i'm glad that I got to spend the day with such a nice family....
