Maine Striper Report September 26th, 2012

As I said in the previous post...THE FUSE HAS BEEN LIT!!! The fall Striped Bass run is in full swing and we are putting some jaw dropping numbers of fish in the boat, fishing both tides. The Kennebec is chocked full of young of the year herring and hungry stripers are staging in all their old haunts and are now in full on gorge mode...We have perfected and improved upon an old school style of fishing and modified it for the light tackle fisherman and our specific fishery...This exciting, interactive technique is absolutely without equal and for us, has breathed new life into targeting the fall run fishery...The bottom line is that we are seeing some of the best, most dependable fishing of the season right now...C'mon out to take advantage of it...

WOW! As they say, "You ain't said S---!" What an eye opening reminder that old school/the fundamentals cannot be replaced with fishing gadgets and modern technology when targeting the prehistoric behaviors of these fish. Some things just never change, and "If it's not broke, don't fix it!"
