Maine Striper Fishing Report October 12th, 2012

Yesterday morning I had Dennis Kelly back aboard for another tagging session...Joining him were "ringers" Ray Paradis from Arrowsic & the Scarborough crew of Mike Giroux and Capt. Ben Gardner (Kristin K Charters)...We had a screeching WNW wind to contend with which made getting good drifts nearly impossible...that said we still managed to put 40+/- fish in the boat...In four trips to maine this season Dennis has tagged approx 160 Stripers and this trip put him over 13500 for his career!!! Still some really good fishing left but don't wait...it's going to be over soon!!

Thanks for the invite Captain. While it was a blast, it was freaking cold I'll say, especially starting way before the sun came up. We(I) have one more shot at the "beach" and that looks like Tuesday with the seas predictably calm. I'll keep my eyes peeled on the forecast and hopefully we can end the season with a few cows on our livies.
